as soon as it is set. Registered examinees will receive official notification from ACT.

SAS for Saturday, February 6 at GlenOak High School.
Rescheduled for Wednesday, February 10 directly following the school day. The SAS will begin at 2:30 and end at 5:30pm. Students must report to the 1st floor D Commons. Students should be picked up at door #17 at 5:30pm.

Pat and Marc Julian Sign to Play Soccer at Walsh
GlenOak brothers Pat and Marc Julian have signed their letters of intent to play soccer with Walsh University.

Glenwood Robotics Team eTech Champions!
The Glenwood MS Robotics team, represented by (l-r) Clay Curran (5th), Malcolm Guy (7th), and Brandon Johnson (8th), won the championship trophy at the eTech S.T.E.M Challenge in Columbus. Glenwood was one of only 6 schools in Ohio invited to participate in the event. The team, under the direction of Rick Oyster, won the first and third round of the competition to capture the championship.

Martin, Garman Sign Letters of Intent
GlenOak QB/DB Brandon Martin (above) signed his letter of intent to play football with Duquesne University along with middle linebacker Andrew Garman who signed to play with Ashland University.
KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION
The Plain Local School District will offer kindergarten registration for children who will be 5 years old by September 30, 2010. March registration dates and times are listed below. Those unsure as to which kindergarten location their student will attend can register at either location.
Little Eagle Kindergarten Center at Day

Tuesday, March 9, from 7:30am – 7:30pm.

GlenOak High School to stage BARNUM
February 25-27 on the Abbey Foltz Stage
GlenOak High School’s Abbey Foltz stage will be become home to the life of P.T. Barnum, February 25-27 as GlenOak High School presents the musical
Barnum.
Production times will run 6:00pm on Thursday and 7:00pm on Friday and Saturday. Pre-Curtain entertainment will begin 30 minutes prior to curtain time each evening.
Tickets will be available at the GlenOak High School Ticket Office beginning Monday, February 1. All seats are reserved. Friday and Saturday night seats are priced at $9. A special Thursday night senior citizen performance is price at $5. For more information call 330-491-3845.

Experience Art at GlenOak High School
Community Arts Fair
February 27 from 9:00am – 4:00pm
Quickly becoming a much-anticipated event, GlenOak High School Arts and Communications students have coordinated their second community-wide arts event in conjunction with the all-school musical performance of Barnum. The Arts Fair will be held at GlenOak on Saturday, February 27, from 9:00am – 4:00pm. Tickets are $5 for adults and $2 for students in grades five and below.

Progress Report Dates
The Plain Local School District has set the dates that progress reports will be shared with families for the 2009-2010 school year.
The third nine weeks ends March 26 and progress reports will be mailed or sent home April 9, 2010

DON’T MISS THE 4th ANNUAL STADIUM AUCTION APRIL 17!
The Golden Eagle Athletic Association invites the entire community to the fourth annual Stadium Auction on Saturday, April 17, from 6-10pm at GlenOak High School. This is the committee’s largest event held to raise funds for the expansion and enhancement of GlenOak stadium and Bob Commings Field.
The group is currently accepting donation of auction items and theme baskets. Tickets will be available in March. For more information, call the GlenOak Athletic Department at 330-491-3850.
GOHS SPIRIT SHOP
The Spirit Shop is located at door #17 on the east side of GlenOak HS. The volunteer run store is open Tuesday & Thursday evenings from 5:00-7:00pm
and Saturdays from 9:00am - 12:00noon.
Parent Conference Schedule
The Plain Local School District has set the dates for winter parent-teacher conferences. GOHS conferences will be held February 3 & 11, middle schools January 27 and elementary schools February 16-24. The kindergarten centers will hold conferences in April.
